Orangery Concert: Aidan
Time
2pm - 3pm
Description
An afternoon of music in the Orangery: Music with a Smile
Accompanying himself on button accordion, Aidan delivers a selection of songs and tunes in his own style, with the occasional surprise.
His musical influences include the Irish ballad bands such as ‘The Dubliners’ and ‘The Fureys’, and other sources from the British Isles and beyond.
Aidan has played with various folk and Irish-themed bands including ‘The Westport Tinkers’ and ‘Will Travel’ in West and North Yorkshire; more recently as accordionist and singer with Flamborough-based acoustic band ‘The Headlanders’.
He was a founder member of the celtic-rock outfit ‘Johnny and the Poorboys’, appearing at festivals and clubs around the north of England.
Aidan has also performed in amateur musical theatre, taking major roles in ‘Fiddler on the Roof’, ‘Calamity Jane’, and ‘Oliver’.
Standard admission charges apply.
