An afternoon of music in the Orangery: Louise leads the orchestra for Hull Choral Union and plays first violin in the orchestras for East Riding County Choir and Hull Bach Choir. She also gives recitals and plays for wedding receptions and parties. Before retiring in 2019 Louise taught music in secondary schools for 33 years. She was Head of the Music Department at Beverley Grammar School for 20 years and Director of Music at Hymers College in Hull for 4 years. On moving to Hutton Cranswick at the end of 2019 with her husband Ian it was her intention to play her violin in every church, care home and community hall in the area, but the pandemic rather put a stop to those plans! She is therefore delighted to be invited to play at The Orangery. While classically trained, Louise enjoys playing in a variety of styles and has just acquired an electric violin so she can fill big spaces and marquees with music! She is confident that you will enjoy the wide selection of music she plays, from classical to folk, musicals, film and classy pop!Standard admission charges apply.
